Capturing Performances

Shooting dance performances is exhilarating. Every performance is a unique experience, meticulously woven by the company, dancers, production team, lighting designers, and visionaries. As I position myself behind the lens, I become a silent observer, entrusted with the task of capturing their creation. 

In this collaborative exchange, my role is to be an invisible conduit, translating their vision into vivid photographs. I become an interpreter, capturing the unspoken narratives that resonate within each movement, costume, and set design, preserving the beauty and storytelling that dance offers.

I am humbled by the opportunity to document these fleeting moments. I find that dance shows particularly often have months of rehearsal with a short run time. I always feel honored to preserve the legacy of these creations for generations to come.
